Winter's Touch In the quiet hush of winter's breath, The world is draped in a blanket of white, Each flake a whisper from the sky's depth, Painting landscapes in a ghostly light. The air, crisp and sharp as a blade, Carves the breath into visible clouds, While trees, like ancient guardians, stay, Their branches heavy with frost's shrouds. Beneath the snow, the earth lies still, Dreaming of spring's distant call, But winter, with its icy chill, Reigns supreme over mountains tall. The sun, a pale and distant friend, Casts long shadows, thin and frail, As daylight hours seem to bend, Yielding to night's early veil. Fires burn bright in hearths of stone, Inviting hearts to gather near, Stories told in the warmest tone, Of winter’s beauty, love, and cheer. Yet, in this season's frozen clutch, There's peace to find in the silence so vast, For winter teaches us much, About the moments that truly last.
